How to prepare for the testing day

Updated: Mar 3

Let's get straight to the point!

This will make your experience smooth.

I've worked in the proctoring industry for over ten years and have owned my proctoring centers for the last five years. I want to make your experience at any testing center easy.

The Point.

Tip #1 - Make sure you have two forms of Identification.

Even if you have been told one, bring two or three! The goal is to not be "turned around" or denied entry for your exam. Mistakes like this could cost you later. Check the lists: of appropriate identifications to bring ID Policy 1

Tip #2 - Arrive no later than 15 min before your start time.

Call if you are running late. It helps hold your seat on a fully booked day and saves you unnecessary fees.

"Successful and unsuccessful people do not vary greatly in their abilities. They vary in their desires to reach their potential" – John Maxwell

Tip #3 - Bring a snack for long exams.

Unfortunately, you can't have drinks or food in the testing room itself, but you can have a quick snack outside the testing room. If you are taking a 4-7-hour test you are going to get hungry. Bring something small like a banana or a granola bar.

Tip #4 - Try to dress comfortably and... quietly!?

There will be a pocket check and you will be sitting for hours! Things to think about:

  • Try not to wear clothing with a lot of pockets like cargo shorts.

  • Hats and sunglasses are not permitted in the testing rooms.

  • High heels could be loud on tile and wooden floors.

  • Charm bracelets are a BIG NO-NO!

  • Don't forgot to take off and turn off your electronic watch or listening device.

Tip #5 - When in doubt call and ask!

Call a Solid Testing and Training Center near you. We are always ready to make your experience easier.
